Customs

Customs and Immigration cards will be handed out upon arrival into the Dominican Republic. These must be filled out prior to going through customs. You will be given a tourist card upon entry which must be surrendered upon departure from the Dominican Republic. Please keep this card with you at all times during your stay.

All persons entering the Dominican Republic must present a customs declaration card and may be subject to an inspection at random. Once you are through customs, proceed outside of the airport where you will be met by a Cascadia Motivation representative to assist you in your transfer to the hotel (group dates only).

On your return, you will clear Canadian customs in Canada. You must declare everything acquired while away, whether purchased for yourself or gifts, as well as goods bought at duty-free stores. Keep your original receipts for possible inspection.

If you have been away from Canada for 48 hours or more, you can bring back goods worth up to $800.00 CAD without paying duties. These goods can include alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
